Do I need a Jabba account?
No. Jabba connects to an existing XMPP account. Your address and password come from the XMPP provider you choose; nurve does not create or host your messaging account.
Why can’t I sign in?
Check that you entered your full address, such as you@example.com, and the password supplied by your provider. Jabba discovers normal connection settings automatically. If the problem continues, your provider can confirm whether client connections are enabled.
How do I control notification previews?
Open your account sheet in Jabba and use the Notifications setting. You can show the sender and message, the sender only, or a private generic notification. System-level permission is managed in iOS Settings → Notifications → Jabba.
Are messages end-to-end encrypted?
Not in the first release. Jabba uses encrypted network connections, but your XMPP provider may be able to access message content. Use a provider you trust and see the privacy policy for details.
What happens when I sign out?
Jabba disconnects, deletes the saved password and resumable session from Keychain, and removes its push route. Locally cached history may remain on the device so it is available if you sign in again. Deleting Jabba from the device removes its local app data. Signing out does not delete your account at your XMPP provider.
Can Jabba delete my XMPP account?
No. Your account is operated by your chosen XMPP provider. Contact that provider to request account or server-side message deletion.
