The short version: Elo evaluates your notes on your device. It has no ads, analytics, accounts, or cross-app tracking. On iOS, saved documents use your iCloud Drive. Currency-rate updates never include your notes or calculations.
1. Who operates Elo
Elo is provided by nurve (“we,” “us,” or “our”) in Australia. Contact us about privacy at support@nurve.co.

The text you type, calculation results, variables, comments, and document names are processed locally on your device. Elo does not send this content to nurve or to the currency-rate service.
Documents and iCloud
When you save or open a document on iOS, Elo reads and writes files in its app-specific iCloud Documents container. Apple provides and operates iCloud. Documents may be transmitted to and stored by Apple, synchronized to devices signed into your Apple Account, and processed under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Nurve does not receive access to your iCloud account or documents.
Currency and cryptocurrency reference rates
Elo periodically requests fiat-currency and cryptocurrency reference rates from endpoints operated by Numi. Requests include normal network information such as your IP address, request time, and protocol headers; they do not include your note text, expressions, results, document names, advertising identifiers, or an Elo account identifier. The downloaded rates and cache validation information are stored locally and refreshed when stale.
Support correspondence
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, device details, an expression, or an attached screenshot. Please remove private note content you do not want to share.
3. How information is used and shared
Elo uses information to calculate results, save and open documents, keep reference rates current, and respond to support. We do not sell personal information, display advertising, create advertising profiles, or track activity across apps or websites.
Information is shared only when needed for a feature you choose: Apple processes iCloud document storage and synchronization; Numi’s servers process rate requests; and email providers process support messages. We may also disclose information if legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.
4. Retention and deletion
- Unsaved text exists in the app’s current state on your device. Closing or replacing a note may discard it.
- Saved documents remain in iCloud until you delete them. You can manage them in Apple’s Files app under iCloud Drive → Elo, subject to Apple’s sync, backup, and Recently Deleted behavior.
- Reference rates remain in a local cache and are replaced as Elo refreshes them. Deleting the app removes its local app data in accordance with iOS behavior.
- Support emails are retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, keep support records, and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete them.
5. Security
Elo relies on the iOS app sandbox for local data, encrypted HTTPS connections for reference-rate requests, and Apple’s security for iCloud storage and transport. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device and Apple Account with a passcode, strong password, and multi-factor authentication.
6. Your choices
You choose what to type, what to save, and what to include in support messages. You can view, move, export, or delete saved Elo documents through the Files app. You can disable iCloud Drive in Apple’s settings, although Elo’s iOS open and save features will then be unavailable. Deleting Elo removes its local app data; manage iCloud copies separately in Files.
7. Children
Elo is a general-purpose calculator and is not directed specifically to children under 13. Nurve does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through Elo.
8. This website
The Elo website is static and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. It stores only your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. If you email us, your email provider and ours process that correspondence.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Elo changes. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Questions, access requests, or deletion requests concerning information held by nurve can be sent to support@nurve.co. Requests concerning iCloud data should be managed through your Apple Account and the Files app.
